This online/remote session workshop includes the definition of chronic kidney disease (CKD), a brief summary of kidney physiology, and treatment of CKD with an emphasis on optimizing kidney health. Time for questions & answers is also included.

About the Teacher
Elizabeth Cattell RN, MN, CNRN, ACNP-BC Ms. Cattell is an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner – Board Certified (ACNP- BC) since 1999. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, she was a critical care RN for many years. Her nurse practitioner experience includes Cardiac Surgery at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center Los Angeles; Internal Medicine-Hospitalist at Valley Presbyterian Hospital Van Nuys, CA; Neurosurgery & Neurocritical Care at UCLA Medical Center; and outpatient Nephrology in Mission Hills, CA. Along with clinical practice, Ms. Cattell was on faculty at the UCLA School of Nursing from 1990 to 2016, as a Lecturer and then as an assistant clinical professor. Since retiring from active practice and re-locating to Georgia in 2020, Ms. Cattell volunteers with the COVID vaccine immunization project and quarantine referral line for the Georgia Dept. of Public Health.
